This is an example of one Folk Tale Project completed by the 6th grade last spring. In Arrow to the Sun by Gerald McDermott, a boy searches for his father, the Sun, and discovers his own strength and courage as he is challenged along the way. Students volunteered for different roles in the production of this story. They worked collaboratively to compose themes for main characters and rehearse each one. They created movement for dramatic effect, and developed costumes, scenery and props for key characters and events in the story. They all worked hard to put these elements together for our finished product.
